Gould’s Fused fiber optic Visible Wavelength Combiners are made of single mode or polarization maintaining (PM) optical fibers enabling MUX/DEMUX function for any two, three or four wavelengths in the red, green, blue and violet (RGB/RGBV) spectrum. Visible wavelength combiners feature high power handling, low loss and low back reflection.
Our fiber optic combiners are manufactured using the fused biconical taper process on fully software controlled automatic fabrication stations. The process consists of placing two or more fibers adjacent to each other, then fusing and stretching them to create a central coupling region.
Gould’s Visible Wavelength RGB/RGBV (Red, Green, Blue & Violet) Fiber Optic Combiners are manufactured using Nufern 460-HP and Nufern S405-XP over the follwing red, green, blue and violet (RGB/RGBV) wavelengths.
- Red (633, 640, 650 & 670nm)
- Green (515 & 532, 561nm)
- Blue (457 & 488nm)
- Violet (405nm)
