Gould utilizes our proven Fused Biconical Taper (FBT) process to manufacture high grade polarization maintaining couplers including single wavelength and wavelength flattened (Broadband/Wideband) (WFC). We offer a wide selection of Polarization Maintaining (PM) Couplers with operating wavelengths covering Visible RGB( Red,Blue & Green) , Red to IR (Infrared) spectrum. Our fused PM fiber couplers/splitters offer high extinction ratio with minimum optical loss. Gould utilizes PM fibers such as Panda & bow tie from different suppliers to accommodate your application specific operating wavelengths.
In addition to our standard PM couplers, Gould has launched a new line of 1×2 and 2×2 PM splitters based on Pure silica fibers with operating wavelengths covering 400 to 680 nm.
We also offer Polarization Maintaining (PM) Planar waveguide splitters based on PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuits) manufactured using ION Exchange based manufacturing process at our Millersville, Maryland facility providing superior dependability and great performance. Available in 1 x8 with compact packaging options. The PM Planar offers a high extinction ratio (ER), low insertion loss and strong uniformity with polarization launch into a slow, fast or dual axis with a +/-50nm bandpass.
