Gould’s fiber optic single mode (SM), couplers, Taps & optical splitters are manufactured using the fused biconical taper process on fully software controlled automatic fabrication stations. The process consists of placing two or more fibers adjacent to each other, then fusing and stretching them to create a central coupling region. Gould’s Single Mode Single Wavelength fused fiber optic couplers/optical spliters/taps built with Nufern S405-XP pure silica fiber. And available in port configurations 1×2, 2×2 or 1×2 with Low Reflection Terminations (LRT). These high quality products are available on different coupling ratio values such as 50/50, 40/60, 30/70, 20/80, 10/90, 5/95 and 1/99. Other coupling ratio options are available upon request.
