Optical fiber connectors are used to join optical fibers where a connect/disconnect capability is required Gould offers a variety of optical fiber connectors for singlemode and multimode such as ST, FC, SC, LC, FC/APC, SC/APC and SMA 905. These connectors exhibit low optical loss and low polarization dependant loss. Connectors are used in medical, telecom/datacom, industrial laser and instrumentation applications.

Low Reflection Terminations (LRTTM)
Low reflection terminations LRTTM is designed for use on unused ports in systems where low reflection is critical.
Gould’s patented Low reflection terminations (LRTTM) is designed for use on unused ports in systems where low reflection is critical. The low reflection termination is achieved by adding a light-absorbing component to the fiber end, keeping light from reflecting back into the transmitter. Gould’s LRTTM , which absorbs most light in unused ports and provides <-60 dB back reflection at both 1310nm and 1550 nm wavelengths, can be added to coupler leads or supplied on a pigtail for splicing into a system.
